San Juan County Municipal Court Warrants
“Municipal court warrant” is a common search phrase, but local Utah matters are handled through named Justice Courts. San Juan/Monticello Justice Court and Blanding City Justice Court hear traffic, ordinance, infraction, and class B/C cases within their jurisdiction.
The court keeps the citation case and decides whether an FTA warrant is recalled. A public statewide result may help locate a case, but San Juan County has no separate Sheriff list for every city matter.
San Juan County Municipal Warrant Courts
The county/city split is clearest at the court counter. San Juan/Monticello Justice Court handles citations for both the county and Monticello, while Blanding City Justice Court maintains a separate city route. These courts are not the County Clerk/Auditor's records office.
Ask the clerk shown on the citation whether a local bench warrant exists. A county-wide Sheriff contact page is not a substitute for that court check.
San Juan County Cities With Municipal Courts
Two incorporated places have verified city Justice Court contacts in the research. Bluff is incorporated, but no municipal or justice-court warrant page was located there. Read a citation to learn which court issued it.
| City | Local Court | Warrant Matters and Contact |
|---|---|---|
| Monticello | San Juan/Monticello Justice Court | Traffic and ordinance citations; 435-587-2544 |
| Blanding | Blanding City Justice Court | City traffic and ordinance; 435-678-2334 ext. 3 |
| Bluff | No verified local court page | Use the court printed on the citation |
San Juan County Blanding Warrant Route
Blanding City Justice Court is at 167 E 500 N and lists a Monday morning court setting. Its official page offers forms, a calendar, and Pay Court Fines. A Blanding citation should go to that clerk, not to Monticello by default.
The live payment vendor's search fields were not captured, and the court page does not publish a warrant roster. Call 435-678-2334 ext. 3 with the citation or case number.
Checking a Municipal Court Warrant
Begin with the Utah BCI Statewide Warrants search, then identify the court from the ticket or public case history. There is no captured local city warrant lookup field for San Juan County. A clerk can check the underlying record by its case or citation number.
- Search your own name in the BCI statewide file; its public fields were not verified.
- Use Xchange or the citation to find the case type and issuing court.
- Call San Juan/Monticello Justice Court or Blanding City Justice Court, based on the ticket.
- If needed, visit the clerk's counter or ask the Sheriff about custody, bail, or GRAMA routing.
San Juan County Monticello Warrant Contacts
Monticello Police links a citation-payment route and directs citation questions to Monticello Justice Court at 435-587-2544. The police contact page routes citation questions to the clerk, who controls the case, payment, reset, and court-status answer.
That handoff helps prevent a common mistake: asking the police page to recall a court order. Call the Justice Court with the case or citation number and ask what the court has recorded.
Inside a Municipal Court Warrant
The public record may connect a citation or case number with the charge, issuing court, amount due, and FTA events. The Utah Courts Xchange overview describes public case access; the public state warrant form could not be inspected, so these are court-file concepts rather than a promise about visible fields.
| Case or citation | Number assigned by the court; no local sample format was published. |
|---|---|
| Charge | Traffic, ordinance, infraction, or class B/C case. |
| Issuing court | San Juan/Monticello or Blanding City Justice Court. |
| Amount | Fine or fees shown by the court; exact warrant amounts were not located. |
| Status | Ask the clerk whether the warrant is open, served, or recalled. |
San Juan County Bluff Warrant Page Missing
Bluff's official town site did not show a police warrant page, public citation portal, city court, roster, or amnesty notice in the research review. That gap does not prove no warrant exists. It means the citation must guide the reader to the issuing court.
If the named court is outside Bluff, call that court. The San Juan County Sheriff at 435-587-2237 is the custody and bail fallback, not a Bluff court clerk.
San Juan County Municipal Warrant Fees
The San Juan/Monticello Justice Court payment form shows a 2.5 percent card fee with a $2.50 minimum and a further 1.5 percent service fee for foreign cards. Those figures belong to that form, not automatically to Blanding's separate vendor.
Use the court-linked San Juan payment page only after the clerk confirms the case and amount. Payment does not prove that the judge recalled the warrant.
How to Resolve a Municipal Court Warrant
Call the issuing clerk before paying or appearing. Ask whether the court accepts payment, requires a new date, needs a motion, or wants a personal appearance. Keep the receipt and ask for a docket or written confirmation after the judge or clerk updates the case.
- Confirm the case number and warrant status with the court named on the citation.
- Ask whether payment, a reset, motion, counsel, or appearance is required.
- Use the official court payment link or follow the clerk's filing instructions.
- Request proof of recall and ask whether any FTA report reached DLD.
Warning: A payment receipt is not the same as a court recall; ask the clerk to confirm the case status and any next setting.
